Cookie Friday: Candy Canes
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1⅓ cup confectioners sugar
- 2 Tbs water
- 2½ cups flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ cup quick oats
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- ¼ cup water
- Beat vanilla and sugar until creamy. Add sugar and water and mix. Add flour and salt and mix. Stir in oats.
- Shape into canes, place on an uncreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool. Mix sugar and water to make glaze. Reserve ¼ of the mixture and dye with red food coloring. and then glaze like a candy cane.
